This year, 4th and 5th graders will have a special opportunity to explore their faith through related field trips and witness and service experiences. These field trips are an optional part of It's Elementary, but they are also open to any 4th or 5th grader who would like to participate. Our hope is that these trips will be a great point of connection for our older elementary kids and even if they can't attend It's Elementary each week, they can join the group for these special events.

On October 7th, children have a choice of an off-campus trip to Conestee Nature Preserve to explore creation or staying on campus to hear a professional Gullah storyteller, Anita Singleton Prather, also known as "Aunt Pearlie Sue." Aunt Pearlie Sue will be at Westminster from 3-4:30p, providing an interactive storytelling show. For the group going to Conestee, we'll leave the church at 3:15p and return by 4:30p for regular dismissal.

So we can plan ahead with transportation, please sign your child up for their preferred event by Wednesday, September 30. If we don't receive your reply, we'll assume that you prefer your child to stay on campus for the storyteller.

Permission, Medical, and Liability Release Statement
