Hunter was raised in Rock Hill, South Carolina, before making the move to Greenville in 2015 to study music at Furman. It was during that time that he began attending church at Westminster as one of the Furman Choral Scholars. Before graduating in 2019, he had the opportunity to study many aspects of music: jazz, musical theatre, elementary music education, and more. Since then, he has served as a section leader in our Sanctuary Choir, director of the Senior Choristers, a worship leader for the It’s Elementary program, and music teacher in the Westminster Weekday School. When he isn’t at church, Hunter enjoys spending time with his husband, Jordan Smith, and their pups, Scout and Matcha. Hunter is very excited for this opportunity to serve our WPC community and is looking forward to helping our children celebrate God’s love through the gift of music.
